Foundations in Manufacturing

In 1985 two brothers (Steve and Kevin Reutzel)  began their careers on differing paths that eventually culminated in the formation of RiverCity Mfg. & Machine Co. in 1989. Steve was working as a full-time machinist at a tool and die mold shop, while also acquiring manual machining equipment in order to provide services outside of the mold-making industry. Through many years of experience and service in the industry, he would go on to become a Journeyman Toolmaker and fulfill his goal of owning/running his own shop. Kevin was working part time gaining invaluable machining experience, while also attending Winona State University in the Composite Engineering program. He would go on to the Masters Program in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Illinois. In 1997, they decided to take a chance and leap into the realm of CNC Machining under R&R Machining Co. It was then that they purchased their first CNC Turning Center with fully automated 24-hour unattended capability. Since then, they have upgraded and added multiple turning centers with multi-axis capabilities along with waterjet services. The RiverCity Mfg. & Machine Co. / R&R Machining Co. was created  in order to offer a one-stop source for all your machining needs. They currently offer CNC Turning, CNC Milling, Waterjet Cutting, EDM, Wire EDM, Engineering, Drafting, Welding, Heat Treat, etc. They also have partnered up with outside vendors to offer add-on services such as plating, anodizing, fabricating, blue coating, etc., in order to make it a single source producer for their valued customers.
